Red fish, blue fish.

Charlotte started swimming lessons last weekend.
She was very excited to put on her red swimsuit and get in the water. It's just her and another kid in the class, and he's close to 3. She looks so tiny next to him! But, she did better with going underwater than he did. So proud.

By the end of the half hour, she was very chilly and her little lips were a touch blue (red fish, blue fish). But she really didn't seem to mind. Matt took her and it looked like they had a fine time. I'm taking her this weekend, which should be a riot! I have a hard time imagining getting out of a wet bathing suit while keeping her contained. She is a mover and a shaker these days.

And wowzer, did she nap well after swim class. And eat! Hoo boy, that girl can put away some food.

Table manners

Charlotte is an old pro at self-feeding - with her fingers. I'm introducing the concept of using a spoon to feed herself. I know she understands what to do.
See? She put the spoon in the container all by herself, too. Sometimes she uses the wrong end, but the result is the same.

Apparently, though, it wasn't fast enough. Pretty soon after this picture, she got both hands in the action.

This is how she let me know she was finished. Bib, spoon, and yogurt container, all on the floor. The cat enjoyed it, even if Charlotte didn't.
