Overcoming fears.
Would you look at that?
It used to be this:
But in what is possibly the most inspired fit of motivation of MY ENTIRE LIFE, surpassing even a senior thesis that had to be finished in 2 days, I measured, cut, and sewed my way to the most comfortable seat in the house.
Folks, I can't even believe that I didn't once succumb to fabric glue or velcro - or tears - but I didn't. Those outdoor canvas cushion covers are built for the long haul. They're fully reversible in all directions, practically guaranteed to hide dirt, and oh-so-comfy. Ok, so the seams are perfectly straight, and my attempt at hidden stitching to close them was pretty lame, but so what?
I am obliged to say that M. was instrumental in this project. Without his mechanically-inclined presence, this Kenmore
would have been floating down the creek. Let's just say I hate bobbin threads, and leave it at that.

I'm impressed! It looks like the perfect place to relax with a good book.
